Hopefully you’ll do better. The main problem with this stand is its designed for “oblong” ( as in oval) chains stays. The manufacturer does not mention this distinction. The part that attaches has two plastic inserts and that is all, no shims, set screws or anything else that would make this stable on a “Round Chain Stay”. The hole is also large. I tried wrapping gorilla tape around my round chain stay to help but no luck.I tried shimming with extra rubber I had…No Luck. Picture yourself…
Fits excellent on my 15.5 small frame with 29er I know there is a taboo with mountain bikers not installing a kickstand on their bike, but forget it with that non-sense, I needed a kickstand for practicality and I was tired of having to lay my bike down on the ground!! This kickstand served my purpose and met my needs. It works best if your frame is oval in shape. I can see that if your frame is round, then you will definitely have trouble getting the kickstand to hold in place. I was skeptical that this would work on my mountain bike…
