Great for the bike path or urban commuting. I put these on my Trek Excalibur. They make the ride smoother and quieter. I have had so many comments about my knobbies being noisy and even was told by someone that they thought they were being chased by a swarm of bees plus I can save them for winter and off road.This is a very comfortable tire and 55 psi. It is rated at 65 psi max, so they can be made pretty hard if you choose. Installing these tires are different than regular bike tires. When installing 29ers on a disc wheel…
Get these tires for a MTB if you ride on the pavement! For anyone who rides a mountain bike but mainly rides said bike on paved surfaces, you need to get these tires. The slicks are so much faster than the knobby tires on the mountain bikes. It was apparent on the first ride after I installed these tires that they made a big difference. In areas where I struggled to maintain 11mph I am know at 13.5 – 14mph. Overall on my usual 20 mile ride, where I used to average just shy of 12mph, I now average over 15mph! They are quiet and a much smoother…
