… to be a poorly engineered device that while looking great once on the car – failed within 3 days … Purchased what turned out to be a poorly engineered device that while looking great once on the car – failed within 3 days with 3 sets of ski’s (1 childs) and a snowboard – no poles. The unit disconnected in the rear and so every time you opened or closed it – the door would slip off to the side which then required two people to properly close it – one from each side. Solid, beautiful, and quite This is a truly excellent cargo carrier. It is built like a tank and doesn’t feel flimsy like many carriers. There is no discernible sound at highway speeds and it looks good enough to leave on all the time.Installation was a breeze, but it is on the heavier side so two people lifting is best. The cargo mat is really nice – helps keep the skis and other items in check.Only complaint would be the volume is a bit awkward – I find it difficult to determine what will fit…
