I like this bike very much Overall, I like this bike very much. I am a 56YO overweight male with arthritic knees. I purchased the women’s bike because it is difficult to get me leg up and over a men’s bike. My “Rockette” days are behind me. :-). The bike seems very solid and the peddle assist motor is fantastic. Ok, folks, it’s now 11/26/16 and i’ve had this bike for almost 6 months. I’ve riden this bike almost 1000 miles. 5 stars. I’ve had this bike only 3 days and love riding it. The 3 speed motor and the 7 speed Shamono gearing work together to flatten the hills and let me negotiate traffic with ease. And i’m a 75 year old who hasn’t ridden for the last 60 years. But this bike is fun and strong. BUT, today the bottom braces that hold up the battery and rear rack failed on both sides. I can almost guarantee that they’ll fail on every bike that is ridden on trails and bumpy sidewalks. They were made of aluminum…
Love this bike! Love this bike! I had an old LaFree Electric Bike for 15 years, and after it pooped out and couldn’t find a battery for it, I purchased this Vilano. It is a joy to ride. Easily assembled out of the box. The 7 speeds and 3 levels of power give me everything that I am looking for–from no assist at all to feeling like I am flying up hills with just a little pedaling.
