Good for beginners I purchased these when I began an adult roller derby academy about three months ago, knowing nothing about padding or the fact that more substantial pads were available and might be more appropriate. I have already retired the knee and elbow pads from this set and upgraded to the EP55 (elbow pads) and KP22 (knee pads) from Triple 8 instead. This set would be good for a true beginner who doesn’t know if they want to continue with roller sports, but as soon as I realized I might be continuing…

I’ll eventually have to upgrade to some better quality knee pads because these don’t really seem to … I bought this for starting Roller Derby. They’re inexpensive and not the lowest quality so I decided to give it a try. The elbow and knee pads are one size fits all and the sizing goes for the wrist guards. I ordered the small and I probably could have got a medium even though I have very small hands. I’ll eventually have to upgrade to some better quality knee pads because these don’t really seem to cushion enough. I also have a feeling the material will crack after a few too many falls. Just…
