Had to go off book for install with very old road bike, but worked great. The parts and instructions are for a bike with pre-tapped holes for M5x13 screws at the back wheel hub and on the frame arm between the seat and the hub. An important fact that should be listed on the item description with the simple Yes/No diagram included with the manual and the only reason I am not putting 5-stars.HOWEVER. I have a very old Nishiki made in Japan in for the US west coast in the 80’s and install was pretty easy with very little modification. I have no tapped holes…
Great bike seat. Perfect bike seat for our daughter. Right now she is 17 months, about 24 pounds and 35 inches tall. She fits perfectly in the seat with room to grwo. I bought this seat because of the good reviews and was not disappointed. It is mounted on my wife’s Electra cruiser bike. A few things though, that you will need to do. Buy the Topeak longer rack arms. The arms that come with the seat are too short and makes the seat ride into the bike seat, which was uncomfortable for my wife while riding…
Great seat but has a potential safety flaw Overall, I’m pretty happy with this seat. I love that I can use my Topeak trunk bag with the rack when the seat is not installed. My 2-year-old tends to fall asleep on longer rides and sometimes slumps forward. The wrap-around design and safety bar make me feel confident that he will not slip out of the harness and fall out of the seat, which almost happened once with my old baby seat.I deducted one star due to what I consider a potential safety flaw.
