Because the install is not easy and the instructions don’t highlight key points. They focus too much on the overall installation and not enough on the key part of threading and securing the straps. versatile I don’t like to overpay for fancy luggage racks, but for my bike (a dirt jump because I’m short) this is the only option short of drilling holes. It is a bit tricky to install and watching their video a few times helps. reading the manual a few times helps, too. Swedes are not big into text instructions – the manual looks like ikea.
