Takara Sugiyama Flat Bar Fixie Bike, 700c, Orange/Yellow, Medium/53cm Frame
The Takara Sugiyama flat-bar fixie bike keeps things simple and gets it done without breaking the bank. At the heart of the Sugiyama is a strong handcrafted steel frame with horizontal dropouts, helping the bike hold up to the abuse of the big city. Because urban riders don’t need derailleurs, Kent outfitted the Sugiyama with a flip-flop hub, so riders can run it as a fixed gear or in standard freewheel single-speed mode without having to worry about adjustments to temperamental components. And thanks to the 32-hole alloy wheels and loud 700 x 32 tires, the Takara Sugiyama is capable of withstanding less-than-perfect roads. The bike also includes front and rear alloy side pull brakes.

Crazy cool bike! So far, it’s been great! Got it in January after my previous bike was stolen (again an Amazon purchase from many years back) and thankfully to the mild “winter” we’ve been having, I’ve been able to ride quite a bit in the past couple months. My previous bike was a Schwinn multi-speed hybrid bike – and for my uses, I always sort of felt I wanted something simpler. And this is perfect for it – I ride on city streets about 2 miles one way to work (so, say 4 miles a day and I’ve…
First look: It looks like a decent bike, i just have assembled it. It was not easy, but it gave me quality time with brother putting it together was fun, we like to work with out hands. Anyways i took off the brakes as they are pretty cheap and i plan to ride fixie. I took off all the stickers( they come off easily as they are cheap stickers). I took off the plastic chain guard. After all that the bike look MUCH more expensive than it original looked. I am going to be buying new handlebars for…
Got this bike early as promised. Packaged neatly and tightly. I come from NO biking history whatsoever and was able to assemble this bike with moderate ease. This bike is definitely an eye catcher and feels great. It’s super lightweight and has a comfy seat. The brakes are decent but you might want to change them if possible. As of right now, I am trying this bike out on FREEWHEEL mode. You can alternate by flipping the rear wheel to the opposite side to choose FIXED gear. Make sure to do your…
