For all bikes AND those with lower seats! I purchased this adapter along with the Yakima and they both work well on the kids bikes, this one works better on my wife’s bike because she is shorter and there is no room between the seat and the frame for the Yakima clasp to open and close. The two are pretty close in build quality and functionality, but this one excels if you have a shorter person with a lower seat due to how it opens (out instead of up and down). Great product – Kids bikes too I just ordered three of these adapters after my neighbor showed them to me. The side opening latch is a much better design than the Yakima adapter that I currently have. The Yakima one opens Up only, which hits the seat. If you have it on a kids bike with a short seat post it is very difficult to get off.For those others with kids bikes, here’s how you make it work.
