Sturdy construction, adjustable length Needed something to mimic a typical men’s crossbar on my wife’s Nishiki mountain bike… this works perfectly. Sturdy construction, adjustable length, and it’s easy to latch/un-latch due to the recessed button design. Clamp the small end under the handlebars and the big end under the seat and you’re all set.Just make sure your seat is attached securely to the seatpost so there’s no chance upward pressure from the adapter can pop it off! Works well even though it was a little big for my bike. I bought this to use with a women’s Schwinn touring bike. The bike frame is small, but I am not sure of the exact size (I am 5’1″). This bar, at first glance, was too long. Yes, it fit around the seat post and the head tube, but there was extra room and I was worried that it would be a problem in terms of sliding when the car was moving.
