Even then, it did have a slight bulge in the middle, but no water or dirt got in. Almost perfect for the price I struggled between 4 and 5 stars with this product but in the end, I went for 5 and here’s why:1. It’s huge: After owning a GTI hatchback and a 140lb dog, I’ve become a master at packing the car for road trips while leaving plenty of room for the dog. 2,300 Road Trip Test I recently purchased this roof top carrier and immediately put it to the test with a 2,300 mile road trip. I would recommend this carrier based on my experience.This unit installs and removes in about 5 minutes. I attached it to the factory rack on my 2007 Chrysler minivan.
