seems to work pretty well – pretty large unit my ancient dog scare unit fell and broke so I needed a new one. Not near as many on the market now. Tho there were few reviews on this one I looked at the maker’s website and decided to try it. We have a lot of loose dogs in our area. Nice to have something that works. Bought this after getting nipped while bicycling. It carries well on the bike with the attachment (purchased separately). I ride gravel roads and it stays put. It is high pitched, loud, wavering and piercing.
