Good unit, just make sure you use the right chain! Very nicely made item as one would expect from Shimano. The only caveat is this: the clearance between the high gear sprocket valleys and the spacer is low, so it MUST be used with bike chains that have a maximum plate diameter of less than 9mm. If not, the chain will skip over the sprocket teeth when pedalling hard in high gear. Excellent Shimano Freewheel I replaced my existing cheap unreliable DNP Slick Shift System Freewheel that was on my Road Bike Outlet’s Vilano bike. Even though it it was listed as having a Shimano Tourney, Vilano decided to installed the cheapest of all freewheels.The Shimano Tourney is much quieter and faster shifting then the DNP Slick Shift System.
