Wow… I can never go back to flat pedals. It is interesting trying to review these pedals. I never really intend to make the switch to clipless pedals but I purchased a pair of mountain bike shoes that I thought would be okay to use with flat pedals and found out the hard way that I should only use them with SPD Pedals. The grips on the shoes were so stiff my feet were constantly sliding off the flat pedals.
