Shimano CS-6700 Ultegra Bicycle Cassette (10-Speed, 12/25T)
Shimano’s Ultegra-level cassettes are one of the gems of cycling components. Significantly cheaper than the top-line Dura-Ace offerings, they’re also more durable, and only slightly heavier. And, they’re heavier in the center of a wheel, where their effect is negligible. Shimano’s improved its shifting ramps on this iteration, too, meaning the fabulous shift quality you expect from the Japanese component giant is even better than you remember.

So powerfully fast you might die. This cassette allows me to go super fast. While on my ride yesterday I went so fast that I broke the time-space continuum. I saw Matthew McConaughey doing some weird stuff in an astronaut suit and a bookcase and decided to slow down. You should really be careful with the power this cassette give you. I haven’t tried travelling back in time yet because I saw the Butterfly Effect and am kinda freaked out. I have a good life and don’t want to mess anything up. If anyone else has tried the time…
Love this Cassette I have been riding for two years and average 3,500 miles a year. I have a Trek Domane 4.5 with 11-28 105 that was stock with bike. I live in the Central Valley of California where the riding is nothing but flat. When I ride hilly and mountain areas in the Sierra Nevada, Pacific Range, and along the coast, I do struggle on the high grades and wish I had that extra gear. The Shimano CS-6700 Ultegra 12-30T 10 Speed Cassette was the answer. When I need it, the 30 was there to bail me out…
Works well with my 2013 Shimano 105 derailleur on the flats. Replaced my Specialized Roubaix 105 11-27 cassette with 12-23 “corn-cob”. Requires Park tools FR-5G Cassette lock ring tool or equivalent. (Not the freewheel tool). It is also recommended to use a sprocket removing chain wrench Like the Park Tools SR-1.This freewheel was the only option to get a 14 tooth rear sprocket. (i.e. 20 MPH at 93 cadence). The change-out took 20 minutes. This unit comes with an extra spacer and it is unclear whether you need it or not. In my case installed…
