A great value, wonderful bike. I’ve now had this Schwinn Phocus for a month or so. It was, and still is, a vast improvement over the far cheaper Kent road bike that I had previously ridden. I’ve only put about 250 or so miles on it, so this is a fairly early review.Some pluses are that it is light and fast. Love the bike. It was fairly simple to finish the assembly. Looks and feels great but I am having a problem with the rear tire or tire liner. I filled up the tube with air, rode it once then a few days later went to ride it again and it was flat. There was a small hole in the tube. I believe it is the tire liner causing this as I first replaced the tube and it did it again in the same location on the new tube. I then ran my fingers over the rim and tire to feel for burrs, the only thing I feel…
For 300 dollars I don’t know what it would expect but regardless I hope it would work within the first hour or so.After following the “instructions” (they don’t quite qualify to be left without quotes) the bike worked but the breaks rub and the center adjustment does not seek to work. I have taken them apart and out readjusted twice to no effect.The breaks and shifting are low quality and extremely suspect. Am hoping to update after I take it down to the shop and…
