Excellent puncture-resistant tires with high nighttime visibility for touring or commuting The first thing to understand is that these tires are puncture resistant, but not completely puncture proof. I use these tires on four separate bicycles, two using the 28 mm width, one using the 40 mm width, and one using the 47 mm width, all of which I use for commuting and recreational rides. I have a touring bike Trek 520 and replaced the … I have a touring bike Trek 520 and replaced the OEM tires (700×32) with these (700×28). I rode from San Jose to San Luis Obispo (About 280 miles). The Schwalbe tires seems to be faster and didn’t suffer any flat. The bike seems to handle more smooth and faster. I was able to hit 40 miles on some of the stretch of Highway 1.
