Dealing with a very wide tire. I recently bought the 2.25″ size which is the maximum for 26″. I want a good tire for the soft sand you find sometimes in Florida. So I tried larger and larger and it got better.When I got to the 2.1″ size I found that the tire had to be deflated to about 15 psi to get the wheel on or off the bike. These tires have very tight center treads and if your riding on the street all you need to do is inflate your tires a little firmer and they ride on the tread and are fast. If your going on the trails just deflate a bit and get bite from the side knobs. Perfect tire for a recreational mountain bike that is used on pavement and packed trails and even some loose stuff.
