and almost every day I run over glass shards and other sharp objects that could easily give me flat with any other tire I bike commute in San Francisco, and almost every day I run over glass shards and other sharp objects that could easily give me flat with any other tire. However, this tire continues to take abuse and come out absolutely unscathed. In over 1 and a half years of daily commutes, I haven’t gotten a *single* flat. I once ran over a large staple that got stuck in the tire (and rode with it in there for a few blocks), but no flat. These are worth every single cent – I would be happy to pay double for…
Much easier to mount than expected Update:I have been riding on these tires for 5000 miles without a single puncture. I have a recumbent tadpole trike (2 wheels in the front and one in the rear) so it’s hard to do a direct comparison with a bike. Since I use 20″ tires, each part of the tread hits the path about 30% more often than a 26″ tire would. It’s also harder to avoid potholes and debris with a trike since the wheels don’t track each other. I replaced the rear tire after 3000 miles with another Marathon…
700cc x 35 Fits my 29″ Mountain Bike Rims!!!!! Cheaper than the MTB version of this tire by $40. I really needed a thorn resistant tires for my 29er MTB. Riding the Trinity Trails in Fort Worth, was causing flats from thorns every other ride. Tried the Slime injections, and hated it as it made my tires feel like anchors. It slowed the bike down. The 700×35 fits the 29â easily with the 700×35 tube. Since the trails are mostly paved, I decided to save money and get this road version. To my surprise, it fits! This road tire rolls a lot…
