I was concerned that the hook wouldn’t be sturdy enough, but the entire product is made out of very hard plastic and it feels like the structure has metal on the inside for reinforcement. Great Device, Standard (Crappy) Hardware Great product, works exactly as described. Although our bikes are middle weights (approx. 25 lbs. or 11â kg.), the hangers have shown no tendency to flex or pull away from the wall. A very well thought out design that could probably handle pretty heavy bikes. However, I did mount the hangers with one vertical pair of screws in wall studs rather than using all four plastic drywall anchors in sheetrock.
