Profile Design Aqualite Drink System
If you think that you’re experiencing deja vu right now, we understand. Profile Design’s Aqualite Drink System is essentially the same Aerodrink that you know and love, only a little bit smaller. Instead of having a 32oz capacity, Profile designed the Aqualite with a smaller 22oz capacity. This way, you’re not forced to carry more weight than you have to for shorter courses or training rides. However, you’re still able to rehydrate without deviating from your sweet spot on the extensions. Additionally, the Aqualite features the same no-splash refill top cap, and it’s compatible with the small and lightweight Profile Design Aerodrink Parts Kit for extension mounting. The Profile Design Aqualite Drink System features a 22oz capacity, and it weighs in around 95 grams — that’s around 76 grams less than the standard Aerodrink. Please note that this bottle does not include the required mounting bracket. To mount the bottle to wider aerobars, Profile recommends its Universal Aerodrink Bracket. However, for narrower aerobars and base bar affixing, you’ll need Profile’s Aerodrink Base Bar Bracket.

Great Aero Option I spent a lot of time reviewing aero bottles before I purchased this one. I like this bottle because it feels like a good size for my aero bars. I wanted a bottle that could hold a good amount of fluid, but not feel so big or bulky. I bought this for triathlons, including a full and half triathlon in the next few months. It holds enough fluid for shorter rides, or enough to get to the next aid station on an Ironman or long distance course. The instructions for mounting are horrible,…
Excellent I loved the idea of this set up, but there were two key problems I had with it. One, the bottle has a cap that is designed so that you can easily add water through the slits on the top of the cap. The challenge with this is that water shoots out the top of the cap every time you hit a hard bump and goes all over you, your handlebars, and your computer most likely. Second, the straw is short and on the backside of the bottle. Therefore, you probably have to slide back over the back of your bike…
This bottle does exactly what its supposed to do. I purchased the Aqualite last year based on price and reviews from other sites for use during triathlon races. I was not disappointed. While this is not the larger of the two bottles, it doesn’t need to be. Unless you are planning on using this bottle as your only water source for an extended race with aid stations further than 20 miles apart you won’t need the larger one. You likely don’t want that extra water weight sitting between your…
