PNW Components Bachelor Dropper Seat Post, 170mm Travel (30.9mm/170mm Travel)
At PNW we love the long mountain bike rides where quad blistering climbs lead to epic descents, where your elevation gain is a badge of honor that earns you miles of flight down steep singletrack. This type of riding inspired both the sport of Enduro and our Bachelor dropper post. It was key for us to produce a lightweight beast to tackle this type of trail riding so you can climb easier and descend faster, we achieved this with a sealed damping cartridge enclosed in ultra-light 7050 alloy. This means a lighter bike and consistent performance, ride after ride. With models featuring 150 or 170mm of travel and an adjustable return rate, the Bachelor will support you when you need it and get out of your way when you’re getting down the mountain.
A lot of our customers ask us how the Bachelor dropper post differs from our internally routed Rainier. This is a great question, as the Bachelor is a similar looking product with a higher price. The Bachelor uses an air cartridge, as opposed to a coil spring, this air chamber allows for a lighter post with an adjustable return rate. It also is made out of a lighter 7075 alloy.

Solid, smooth and easy to install I have been manually dropping my seat post for technical downhill sections for the last few years and decided it was time to invest in a proper dropper. I also appreciate PNW Components no bs–let’s make something quality and affordable–approach to the industry. I live in northern New Mexico and ride a rigid hybrid fat/plus bike year round. I wanted a low maintenance post that was…
Great Dropper post Previously purchased a PNW components dropper for my trail bike. When I purchased my enduro bike I looked to PNW since they were one of the few that made a dropper for my trail bikes old 29mm seat tube. This dropper is great, super clean in all black, and has been put through quite a bit thus far and given me no issues. Several trips to Highland, Thunder, Mt Creek, as well as my local trails. I think its starting to return a little slow because I never checked the air pressure which I plan…
