Tandem brake cable is not only for tandems! Although the item description says “for Tandem bikes,” you may well need this cable if you have disc brakes. Most “rear brake cables” are sized for road bikes where the distance from the brake lever to the caliper is about 1.5 feet shorter than if disc brakes are used. I found that most “cable sets” I bought didn’t have a long enough rear cable to reach my disc (and a few of the front cables were also short).
