Purchased these to replace my 5.10 Freerider Contacts. I also have a pair of the original Specialized 2FO shoes as well. I think that the feel and grip of this shoe is superior to the Specialized 2FO. However nothing is as grippy as a 5.10. Now as for how these compare to the 5.10… The shoe is very comfortable and I have a narrow size 12 foot.Just walking around, the 5.10 feels more like a comfortable sneaker. I would HIGHLY advise that anyone trying to do even entry level Enduro riding through mid to high level Trail riding NOT BUY these shoes. They are a light trail shoe at best with regard to grip and I was 100% disappointed and have already returned them. It’s unfortunate b/c these shoes score 5 stars for looks, the Vibram traction front and rear, as well as ventilation. However the grip, IE the most important part, is non-existent.
