Good First Impression: Updated Just got them today. I used the Pearl website for sizing and was spot on. They feel extremely well made, can’t wait to get them out on the road. I’ll update as soon as I get some miles in on them.UPDATE: Just rode the 100 mile Gran Fondo NY in these yesterday. All I can say is awesome. They’re such an upgrade to my old pair of Northwave Sonics, I can definitely tell the difference with these carbon soles. So stiff, I don’t know why I didn’t spend the money on a good pair to begin…
Well made shoe, Boa lacing system is wonderful. Love the Boa lacing system! Now that I have tried it, I don’t think I can go back to Velcro closures. You simply pull out the little black knob and the laces pop loose for easy removal of the shoe. The Boa system has a lifetime replacement guarantee, which is kinda awesome. These shoes are a matte color, so the red is not obnoxious if looking too bright is a concern for you (and it isn’t for me- especially if I get a good deal!).
