Good Heavy Grease As my title points out, this Polylube 1000 is a pretty heavy grease. It’s thick. You don’t use grease to lube up your chains and stuff – for that you use special high-viscosity grease or regular lubricating oil. Don’t rate down the product because you didn’t know what you were buying.I used a mixture of mineral spirits/water/detergent to clean out my bike’s dirty bearings and crank, and used this stuff to relubricate them.
