Great all-mountain tire, and rides well on paved surfaces. I have used these on my MB for about 12 years, and this new set I just purchased is about my fourth pair. At one point I tried some other tires, and quickly traded back to these. Many of my rides involve a long approach ride up a paved mountain road. These tires ride very well on pavement, and they are low noise (compared to others I have tried). On the trail they have great traction and excellent handling. Ready to buy a replacement after 2 years! I have had these tires for about 2 years, front and back.I have been averaging about 5 miles (very rough trail) every other weekend (whenever there is less than 4 inches of snow) on my hard tail diamondback. These tires do have some noticeable rolling resistance, however I was expecting such. The sidewalls have taken a beating and proudly display lots of gashes, but have not separated at all. I got these last week to replace the stock tires on my Giant Revel 1 after they wore out. So far, I have ridden about 70 miles on them. The tread is nice, and as others have said, the tires do not make as much noise on pavement as one would think. I ride mostly on crushed gravel trails that have muddy patches, and occasionally in steep terrain in the bluffs near my home.
