Osprey Packs Viper 3 Hydration Pack, Blaze Orange
When you’re squeezing in a quick ride after work, osprey’s Viper 3 is the perfect size. The suspension is designed for moving light and fast: a foam frame sheet spreads weight across a ventilated mesh back panel for lightweight comfort. The stretch shoulder harness provides a contoured fit and the webbing hip belt is removable to shave ounces. If you end up carrying extra weight, top compression straps lend extra load stability. Access gear in the main compartment via a zippered front panel. You can slip small items into the dual side mesh or harness pockets or stash a layer in the front fabric Shove-It pocket for quick access. Bike-friendly features include a hydraulics lt 2.5 liter reservoir with magnetic bite valve retention, internal bike pump storage loops, and osprey’s innovative lid lock helmet attachment system.
Product Features
- Upper side compression straps stabilize the load
- The blinker light attachment found near the base of the front panel of the pack allows for Quick light attachment for high visibility in the dark
- An elasticized lid lock helmet attachment system provides storage for your helmet
Functions just as advertised I did an extensive amount of research online and hands on in the store looking for the perfect replacement hydropack for local mtn bike rides. I had been using an old 1L Camelback which served me well, but I needed something with more room for mini pump, multitool, and stuff pocket for excess clothing (when layered in colder weather). I did not want to carry a large pack ( I have the Camelback Mule and its awesome for hiking, and a full day’s ride); wanted more hydration capacity (summers in…

If I had one complaint, it would be the same as all Osprey bags, which is the way you have to…

This pack does it…just..which is perfect as there is little wasted/extra space. Should I ever start doing half-day trips or longer, I will definitely have to up-size to a higher capacity pack. The one issue I have with this pack is that the bladder is difficult to clean and dry. The opening isn’t large enough to get your hand in there so…
