Sometimes it isn’t just about the price. I bought this backpack exclusively for running. I needed something capacious and with compression, chest, and waist straps, and this easily fit the bill based just on that criteria. But there is an abundance of other great features that were added bonuses (covered at length in better reviews than this one), and this is a very intelligently designed backpack. I also bought a hydration bladder for it that I have yet to use, but it’s great to have the option as the way the bag accommodates it is…
Not perfect but a good bag for the price & purpose I find it useful, the weight is ok, I’ve been able to jog 6.5 miles to my job with it and it performed just fine. The price for this backpack was fine as well. I like the colors also. One con I have is I wish it was flat-bottomed as it’s impossible to stand it up when packing it, but I kinda understand that for purposes of running and hiking with it, you do want it to be as slim as possible while still being useful. To start out, I have another, much larger Mountaintop backpack, that I use regularly and it works quite well. This backpack is comfortable, and has decent storage compartments for its size. But what are the two cylindrical tubes for inside the main compartment?.A note to the mfg’r – reduce the size of the helmet “flaps”, as when your not carrying a helmet, there is not enough strap length to pull everything tight.
