A bit of piece of mind I have a heavy U-lock (Abus Granit Plus 640) that secures my bike frame and the rear wheel to a bike rack. I also have a quick-release seat. I pull this KryptoFlex 525 cable through the one of the stays on the bottom of the seat, then run one loop through the other loop, and then run the through loop down to the U-lock. This cable also narrow enough to fit through my helmet, so I don’t have to carry it around. A second short, but heavier, cable is used in the same way to secure the quick…
I got sick of wondering if my bike seat would be there when I finish work. Now, I can lock it up every day. My 7 foot Kryptonite cable easily slips through the loop on the small cable and still locks the rest of the bike.The diagram with the cable gives a suggestion on how to attach it to the seat.
