Don’t Listen To The Naysayers. This Thing Rocks (and Rolls) I wanted to put a couple if months of use on the Kinetic Rock And Roll Smart before deciding to throw in my two cents. This trainer is plagued with mediocre to bad reviews for a a couple ligitamate reasons. Lets address those now. 1) No ANT+ support which…is weird. Bluetooth Smart devices only folks. So yeah, your Garmin kit won’t work here. 2) It seems to have had a rocky start with calibration and power rating issues. 3) Many people have had some issues connecting but may not be following…
Continual Failure So far this trainer is a total failure. There are serious connectivity issues with devices that have Android 4.4. My Asus Zenipad connects until I start a training program and the link is broken. My Galaxy S8 shows that there is a connection, but that’s about it. Figured I’d write the first positive review. I really like this trainer. Assembly is very easy. The setup was very easy as long as you follow instructions. It has a few odd things like it quits the firmware updates if you let the screen on you device go off. You also need to unplug it and let it reboot after updates. The feel is great. It’s very quiet. It connects to zwift without any problems. I’ve used it with PC, Mac and iPad. PC and Mac required using zwift mobile app. My mac isn’t Bluetooth 4.0 so I don’t know if it works without app…
