Clamp lasted 3 months before fatiguing I commute to work 2-3 times per week about 8 miles each way on a paved bike path. Nice and smooth, no potholes or big bumps. This rack is probably not adequate for this much commuting (which isn’t much). Within 3 months of this kind of usage, the black aluminum clamp that holds the rack to the seatpost gave out. A great rack for light loads and suspension bikes I bought this type of rack because my full suspension bike has a rear wheel assembly which can move up and down, so a rack that attached in the more common way, to the rear wheel struts, wouldn’t work.I only carry light loads on the rack: a jacket, some gloves, a one litre water bottle, and sometimes some small groceries, usually less than fiver pounds.
