Giro Code Vr70 Shoe Men Black Size 45,5 2016 Mountain Bike Cycle Shoes
If you’re anything like us, your “mountain” shoes quickly take over as your ‘cross shoes, then your “gravel” shoes, and then, finally, your road shoes. Sure, there are benefits to a road-specific shoe, but as more and more of us use our road bikes on less and less well-maintained roads, a shoe with a little bit of tread on the bottom is nice to have. The Giro Code VR70s are ideal for this slow takeover of two-hole cleats. At their base is an EC70 sole with Vibram (yes, that Vibram) tread over it. You get the best of both worlds: a shoe that’s stiff and transfers power very well, and a shoe that allows you to walk around a bit without destroying your cleats, or slipping on rocks. They close with a classic buckle/hook-and-loop strap combo, and are quite easy to adjust on the fly. Giro’s also included the SuperNatural Fit Kit, an insole system designed to help you get the best fit possible from your shoes.

Top Notch Shoes Great for the Non-Racing Roadie Great shoes so far. The toe box/forefoot does run narrow, though not excessively. If you use the mid foot and toe straps to adjust the fit, rather than just cinching them down, you’ll be able to alleviate some of the narrowness. Based on other reviews, I sized up just a little from 43 to 43.5, and I like the fit. My prior shoes were Giro Empire ACC, which were a more comfortable fit, but just too much of pain for off the bike. I don’t race anymore, and spd pedals and shoes are going to be…
Well constructed shoe, not true to size. While a well constructed shoe, what I’ve been noticing with Giro products is the widely varying sizes in new shoe models and their clothing line. I wear a size 12 shoe and this translates into a 46-46.5. These run very small, the 46 fits like a 11 (US size). I have the first generation Giro empire road shoes, as well the Giro territory, both size 46,they fit true to size. When purchasing these shoes, I’d recommend going up a 1/2 size or perhaps a whole size. It would’ve been helpful if Giro…
