Great starter tandem The shipping has much to be desired. The first one I ordered had a lot of gouges from the front wheel hub scraping the frame. It wasn’t even safe to ride because it was so deep. The box was also beat up and was obviously used before (but the damage wasn’t due to the box). I returned it (managed to fit the huge box in my Pontiac Vibe) and got another one shipped to me. Not high end, but good quality in a lightweight aluminum tandem–even at retail you will not find its equal in this market. Nice, reasonably strong and lightweight aluminum frame—rare in a tandem any where near this price range. Nice looking basic paint job, decent quality but not high end componentry. Brake calipers will probably need to be replaced as they are not easily adjustable, something important is such a critical part of the bike.
