Garmin Bike Speed Sensor and Cadence Sensor
Monitor your pedaling cadence and/or speed as you ride with these Easy-to-install wireless sensors. Simply attach the sensors and ride. With no magnets or other exposed parts to line up, these sensors are easy to install, maintain and move between bikes. The Cadence sensor fastens to any crank arm size and measures pedal strokes per minute so you can get the most out of your training. The Speed sensor attaches to the hub of either wheel and self-calibrates with your Edge to give you accurate speed and distance at all times, including indoors on the turbo trainer. Combine them both and improve your personal best or see where your stand against the pros.

Solid upgrade, no real problems Installation and setup were not a problem for me. However, I felt the speed sensor had a better fit on the front hub. My rear hub (Ksyrium SL, SSC hub) was too narrow for the device to sit flush on the hub barrel. Head unit linked without a problem. No noticeable issues with quality of data. A good upgrade. One note: When turning on the head unit (Edge 500) it seems to sequentially link to the HR monitor, the speed sensor and then the cadence sensor. Each ANT+ device takes a…
An optional sensor to the GSC10 sensor for Edge and Forerunner devices While the GSC10 sensor is a combined wireless Speed/Cadence sensor, these devices are self-contained units.Pros:1. No magnets. These sensors use inertial sensors to determine when a “tick” has occured. That means fewer moving parts. Effectively the cadence sensor just attaches to your crank, and the speed sensor attaches to the spindle of either of your wheels. ANT+ technology means no wires on your bike, similar to the GSC10, but in this case there are no parts…
