I highly recommend it, (with one tiny disclaimer). If I had known what I know now I would still think it’s a /good/ buy for a novice. There are some gems in the book. The technical issues about trikes and touring with trikes I appreciated and have learned a lot.But the duplications, the boring long stories, the idyllic philosophy hating petrol heads make a long and painful read. Goodness Gracious Me.The author must be a nice guy and I have to forgive both of us. My father was also a lay preacher. Whatever he preached…
Needs more original material to make it great You will get a lot of words for a little money in this book. I was on the fence about buying a Tadpole Trike. The things I learned in this book convinced me to get off the fence. This past Saturday, I bought a Catrike 700. One short ride on the bike path was the final reason I had to have it. All the rides since, have been everything I ever hoped for. “Free on Three” is filled with information about Tadpoles, and I highly recommend it.
