I did not get them for free.I initially gave them 3 stars because of the fit, but after the great customer service I received I am changing it to 5 out of 5The palm of these gloves is great and the padding is awesome. So far they seem to be well made and they are very comfortable to wear and the material on the thumb is soft and nice. The velcro seems to work well. I am on the cusp between Large & XL, I went with XL and the fit perfectly. The top of hand material is a tight mesh. The palm appears to be man made suede.
