Finish Line WET Bicycle Chain Lube, 4-Ounce Drip Squeeze Bottle
Finish Line WET Lube is an “extreme” lube; super durable high viscosity synthetic oils, special polymers, anti-wear additives, friction modifiers, and more, all combine to make this Finish Line’s strongest, longest lasting, most water resistant lubricant. WET Lube goes on wet and stays wet on the chain. Recommended for long-distance riding and extreme weather conditions. If you use WET Lube for riding off-road or in dry climates, be sure to wipe the excess from parts; this will help minimize the attraction of dirt and grime. Use WET Lube when you ride hard and long. Proven performance for 100-plus mile rides, muddy off-road conditions, long rainy commutes, and foggy salt-air coastal climates. A heavier, wet-style lubricant that requires a little more attention to drivetrain cleanliness, but delivers the ultimate in lubricity and protection. and expensive lubes like Dumonde Tech As a daily bike commuter in the Pacific Northwest chain lube is of paramount concern to me. I have used quite a few methods of lube, including the daily WD-40 method, and expensive lubes like Dumonde Tech… and none does as good a job for such a low cost as Finish Line wet lube. During the winter I lube about once a week, with a total chain clean monthly (or sooner if needed), and this lube does a great job keeping the drivetrain clicking over quietly and shifting nicely. I use this lube on…
Kicks Chicago streets and weather in the teeth I ride solely in the Chicago area, commute daily, take long rides on weekends, and ride in a couple of century rides a year. My bike is main form of exercise and transportation so I need the chain to last long and stay quiet. Because, lets be honest, nobody wants to be “THAT” guy or gal with the squeaky chain riding down the street. The Finish Line WET chain lube is top notch. The bottle, with some consistent pressure, will lube a chain quickly and evenly. I have redone…
My commuting lube. This is currently my choice of lube for commuting. I can’t compare this to other wet lubes, since I haven’t tried those. Compared to dry lubes the lubrication is much more durable, especially in wet weather, and the protective effect is greater. With either Finish Line dry or White Lightning wax the chain would start to squeak after only a few days, and show rust even in merely damp conditions. Additionally the ride with wet lube feels smoother even when fresh. The downside to this…
