Crooked (slanted) in multiple ways. Well, I understood from some research that the bikes would hang off-axis on this rack due to the design of the paired support arms. Still, the tilt bothered me more than I thought it would. But the thing that has bothered me more is the fact that the main upright assembly itself is also crooked (on the unit I purchased at least), even when the bikes aren’t on it.
