Great mag trainer, compares well to some fluid trainers This is a very solid entry level trainer. Itâs easy to set up and use. The noise level is ok. I use it with a floor fan in front of the bike and fairly loud music, so itâs really not an issue for me.The resistance is adjustable using a knob located on the side of the resistance unit, and is not adjustable while riding. My road bike has a wide gear range, so I just set the resistance unit to a middle value of â2â or â3â, and change gears on the bike for a harder or easier workout…
Simple and effective design. For a mag trainer, this is a great one at a great price, and If you definitely want a mag trainer, buy this one. If you’re deciding between a mag trainer and a fluid trainer, the decision becomes much harder and you may or may not choose this trainer.In general, mag trainers are louder than fluid trainers. I really like this device. The only problem with it for me is that I will never, ever, ever bring my outdoor bike into the finished portion of my house, so I’ll have to use it in the basement or garage, which is not nearly as nice of a place to exercise as my exercise room with TV, stereo, windows, etc. It is not too loud, and it’s simple to use and setup.
