Continental 0100106 Touring Plus Reflex 700 x 28 Urban Tire has a compact, highly elastic rubber breaker that makes the Touring Plus extremely resistant. Stones, glass splitters and thorns have no chance. Whatever you ride over can’t break or pierce the Security Breaker layer underneath the tread. The Plus Breaker belt provides extreme puncture-resistance protection. The layer strength of the Breaker is adapted to the rolling movement of the tire. The Touring Plus remains very comfortable in spite of its protective coating and rolls and steers very lightly. The Touring Plus features a high grade silica tread compound for high mileage and improved adhesion under all conditions. It also comes with Reflex reflective sidewall stripes. Excellent results thus far. I’m thoroughly impressed with these tires. I purchased them for my rainy day steel bike (an old Panasonic) and so far I’ve done several training rides, one MS150 ride (in the rain) one ride last week with some slush/snow on the road and now just yesterday a gravel grinder where we got in over our heads and they’ve done fantastic in all conditions. Not the smoothest ride on rough road surfaces but puncture resistant. I purchased these tires to replace the stock tires that came with my bike. With the stock tires I was constantly losing air pressure and getting flats practically every other week. These tires were advertised as puncture resistant. So far this held up to be true.I notice the tires are thicker than my stock tires and they are much stiffer. Great tires – possible tip about difficult mounting Put these on my wife’s bike and she liked them so well I put them on my commuter too.I have been very pleased so far. Better wet performance and fewer punctures compared to what I was using before.
