Product Features
- CARBON BLACK MIXTURE- The Gatorskin, manufactured with a durable carbon black mixture, is as comfortable on the way to work as it is training for road races.
- POLYXBREAKER- The polyester fibers overlap during manufacturing, yielding a very dense fabric and minimal space in-between threads, making the PolyX highly resistant to any foreign body without reducing the rolling resistance.
- DURASKIN- Sidewall protection coming from the high quality polyamide fabric encasing the core casing of the tire from scuffs and cuts under the worst conditions.
- WEAR OPTIMIZED TREAD- Get the most out of your tire with the Gatorskin’s wear optimized tread compound, adding a long service life.
- HANDMADE IN GERMANY-Continental has been hand making their tires since 1871, maintaining the integrity of tradition, while evolving with the most advanced technology.
Very durable so far I cycle 10,000 miles a year and I don’t like fixing flats, especially if I’m near the end of a 200 mile ride. I have been riding Armadillo tires a lot recently but the Specialized web site started giving me grief so I thought I’d try these Gatorskins which have a similar flat-proof reputation. Good tire for the commute for 30 days – Lousy Customer service These are a very good tire for my commute to work over some gravel, streets and beat roads of New England. Last thing I want is to change a tire at 5 AM on the ride to work and these have kept me for doing so so far. Continental said sorry we have a 1 year warranty but we don’t cover road hazards. This wasn’t anything I hit if it was I…

I was running Specialized black belted tires that came with my Allez before that. They happen to cost 55$ a tire. Which is why I wanted a cheaper option. I ride 5000+ miles a year. That’s…
