First of all this is a very pretty basket. That’s where it ends First of all this is a very pretty basket. That’s where it ends. A basket this size should be constructed to carry at least 10 pounds and not wobble around and slip and slide. All I wanted was a pretty basket to carry my little 5 pound maltipoo. The straps are vinyl; the buckles are thin sheet metal and I wouldn’t trust them to even one pound of weight. Excellent bike basket that adds functionality and charm We installed this basket on my wife’s Huffy Cruiser and it attached easily and looks exactly like we expected it to. It’s big enough to hold a small bag of groceries or a small bag of clothes for traveling to the beach. The only feature that might have been included with the basket was a third attach point to secure the basket to the frame.
