I understand why it could be a bit of a challenge for someone who was previously used to riding a bike with no stabilizers (sinc Bought these to add to a Townie 3 gear bike for our 12 year old who has some challenges with balance. Up to this point he used a Worksman 20″ wheel fold ‘n go trike which worked well but he’s nearly 6’ and will soon outgrow the trike. Wonderful product; Will work well for many; Shape of your roads matter This will be an odd review. I love these wheels and give them a 4 star, even though they didn’t work for my father and I had to return them. I read lots of other reviews that gave a generally positive impression, with a significant minority for whom they didn’t work. Now that I’ve tried them out, I understand why they work most of the time, but not always.My father is 93 and was riding continuously until a month ago when he had 3 tumbles in a matter of weeks. Good design but poor quality Pros:(1) Very strong. No flex and feel secure when an adult rides.(2) Flexible mounting geometry. Accommodate various bike frame geometry.(3) Wheel toe and camber is adjustable by adding shims(supplied) to attachments.(4) Pneumatic tires give quite ride. The wheel does not rattle when it stabilizes the bike.Cons:(1) Heavy. Add weight to the bike.(2) The wheel axles worn after ~10 hours of use.Had used it for 1 year. The design is…
