Look at something else I really wanted this to work but you get what you pay for. The hoist seems sturdy enough with exception of the hooks. I found the hooks to be too small and with no upward curl so the first time I hoisted up my bike….it fell! I tried 3 different ways and finally decided to give up when I thought I had it and it fell again. I was going to return but decided I could modify it to work better. A trip to the hardware store for some “s” hooks and small chain did the trick. I unbolted the hooks…
Read Directions 🙂 This storage lift is a great purchase if you have a heavy bike. My wife has an older beach cruiser bike that is hard to lift onto a normal wall mount (too heavy) so a pulley system is perfect to help my wife lift it herself. Many other similar products are outrageously expensive and this fit my budget perfectly.
