Too Narrow, Not Beach Cruiser Balloon Tires Definitely not wide beach cruiser tires. Although they say these tires are 2.125, they are not. My guess is they’re closer to 1.75 wide. Will this matter to everyone? Maybe not, but to me it makes a big difference. I bought 4 of these to use on two beach cruisers I’m building, and I can’t use them. Big & Plush 26″ balloon tires
So far so good. Look very similar to the original wide whites on my Schwinn cruiser. Installed with no tools – just work them around til they slide into the rim. Make sure (as with any tire) that you get them on evenly. They have a small rib near the bead that will help you place them correctly.I originally expected these to have Kevlar bead like other mtn bike tires I’ve bough in the past, but hte Kevlar is in the tread area.
